Nine people were killed and at least 10 others injured in a gas pipeline blast in southwest China's Sichuan province, state media said.

A source with the provincial administration of work safety said the blast occurred at 12:10 am (0410 GMT) in the county of Renshou, according to Xinhua news agency.
