G20 leaders agree to phase out fossil fuel subsidies

Leaders of emerging and developed nations agreed Friday to a US plan to phase out government subsidies for fossil fuel blamed for global warming, a joint statement said.     US auto safety group wants to curb gadget use by truckers

    A prominent auto safety group is calling on US officials to restrict truckers from using mobile phones, laptop computers, CB radios or other gadgets while driving.     Oil prices rose Friday as rekindled tensions over Iran's nuclear program overshadowed concerns about energy demand and the pace of economic recovery.
