Mojave - June 10, 2002 XCOR Aerospace announced today that the XCOR EZ-Rocket will participate in the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) "AirVenture Oshkosh 2002" July 23 through 29 at Wittman Field in Oshkosh, WI. Plans are underway to determine the schedule for flight demonstrations of the EZ-Rocket. This will be the first public demonstration of the rocket powered vehicle outside of test flights at the Mojave, CA facility. When not flying, the EZ-Rocket will be on display at AeroShell Square. We are really looking forward to participating at EAA's Air Venture 2002," said Jeff Greason, XCOR's CEO. "This marks EAA's 50th Anniversary year and we are pleased to be a part of it. The EZ-Rocket shows there remains a strong link between general aviation and our continued quest for space tourism," said Greason. Piloting the EZ-Rocket will be test pilot Dick Rutan, LTC, USAF Ret. Rutan is a decorated combat pilot and is world renowned for the non-stop, round the world Voyager flight. The EZ-Rocket is America's first privately built, liquid fueled, rocket powered airplane and has set major milestones demonstrating routine operations of a rocket powered vehicle. Sponsorship and investment packages are now available for the EZ-Rocket. XCOR Aerospace is a California corporation located in Mojave, California.
