Wayfinder Is Launched In Singapore With SingTel

With the launch in Singapore, Wayfinder takes the cooperation with Bridge Alliance to the next level. The consortium of eleven operators in the Asia Pacific region, among them SingTel and Bharti AirTel, serves 205 million customers and offers frequent travelers value added services.

 Wayfinder Navigator has been introduced to the Singapore market in cooperation with SingTel, the leading operator in the region. With the launch of the much anticipated Blackberry Bold, SingTel has decided to incorporate Wayfinder Navigator as a value-added service targeting busy executives and frequent travelers.

"As the market leader, we are pleased to offer our customers Wayfinder Navigator, which provides them with great convenience and information at their finger tips," said Mr. Quek Peck Leng, Chief Executive Officer of SingTel Mobile. "Wayfinder also complements the lifestyles of executives, empowering them with the powerful capabilities of mobile GPS."

As GPS integration into mobile phones is taking off, navigation and location based applications are becoming an essential part of the mobile experience. By installing the flagship product from Wayfinder, SingTel is embracing this trend.

"SingTel is the largest operator in Singapore and we are very pleased to team up with such a strong partner. With Wayfinder Navigator, SingTel will be able to increase their data service revenues as well as their customer loyalty," says Bob Ilievski, Senior Vice President of Sales at Wayfinder Systems.

With the launch in Singapore, Wayfinder takes the cooperation with Bridge Alliance to the next level. The consortium of eleven operators in the Asia Pacific region, among them SingTel and Bharti AirTel, serves 205 million customers and offers frequent travelers value added services.

The substantial growth of location based services and applications is still yet to come. Independent analysts estimate that more than 100 million mobile phones with GPS as standard will be launched in 2008. In 2011, the number of subscribers of location based services is expected to reach nearly 300 million.
