Fukuoka, Japan (SPX) Jun 20, 2005 Delegate applications for this year's Space Generation Congress on the 14 -16 October 2005 in Fukuoka, Japan, have opened. The Space Generation Congress (SGC 2005), a meeting of approximately 160 international young delegates offers successful applicants a unique opportunity to implement the vision of young people on the future utilization and exploration of space. The SGC 2005 organising committee is now welcoming applications from all active youth members of the space community, from any discipline or background. The deadline for delegate applications is 15 July 2005. Successful applicants at SGC 2005 will not only discover new challenging opportunities in the space arena, but also develop a world wide network to immediately act on these ideas, bringing to reality the future of living and working in Space. Leading members of industry and organizations concerned will be there giving delegates a unique opportunity to meet with them. SGC will enable working groups of delegates to meet in person to work on their respective projects, and present their work to their colleagues and the international space community gathered at the International Aeronautical Congress (IAC). Selected applicants will be sponsored and helped in their travel and accommodation arrangements. It is a unique opportunity to not only immerse yourself and learn in the heart of the space world but also to discover Japan's fascinating culture.
