SolarCraft of Novato will be donating a 3.7 kW Mitsubishi Electric Solar Energy System at the Sonoma Valley Harvest Wine Auction on August 31st. In addition, Cline Cellars, powered by 100% solar electricity, offers 8 magnums of Green String farmed Syrahs and Zinfandels, grown and produced by the sun.

This package is valued at $31,500 and is auctioned in partnership between SolarCraft, Mitsubishi Electric and Cline Cellars to benefit local Sonoma charities.

Hosted by Cline Cellars, the Sixties-themed 16th Annual Sonoma Valley Harvest Wine Auction promises an evening full of world-class wines, fabulous food and psychedelic silliness.

With Auction Chair Jeff "Beatnik" Bundschu and Culinary Director Carlo "Cool Cat" Cavallo taking turns driving the love bus, it's sure to be a gas!

All the top Sonoma vintners will gather under the Wine Spectator tent for a night of auctioning off their wines, travel packages and destination experiences - all to benefit local Sonoma charities.

The auction winner can start producing their own electricity and reduce or eliminate their monthly electric bill.

It is also a great way to conserve energy and help the environment by reducing greenhouse gases. This solar energy system is designed to produce clean, free power for many decades. Annual savings for this size system on an electric bill are estimated to be $1440 per year.

A 3.7 kW DC solar energy system generates enough clean electricity each day to spare the air nearly 3.26 tons of harmful greenhouse gases annually, or 98 tons over the life of the system.

Over the next 30 years, the air pollution saved will be equivalent to driving over 225 million miles. Solar Energy is the cleanest, greenest and least expensive long-term source of renewable energy.
