Satellite Communications Expo - September 23-25

Washington DC - September 2, 1998 -
The 20th Annual Satellite Communications Expo & Conference (SCEC) opens September 23-25, 1998 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. SCEC offers a full range of educational, strategic and marketing sessions designed to provide practical, real-world solutions for global communications providers.

In anticipation of over 2,000 satellite professionals, 100 international exhibiting companies and 101 speakers from around the world, SCEC will bring together service providers and end-users of corporate, broadcast and network carrier markets in conference sessions to learn more about multimedia, broadband services, internet access, VSAT, direct broadcast, satellite news gathering, mobile and rural telephony and more.

SCEC's industry exclusive program, More On The Floor(TM), provides further education by directing conference attendees to exhibitors whose products or services are directly applicable to that particular session topic.

SCEC is produced for professionals who plan, buy and use satellite communications services, systems and products in the worldwide markets. Attendees are technical, engineering, operations, purchasing and corporate management from businesses including: commercial and industrial satellite users (including retail, financial, lodging, healthcare, utilities, transportation, government and military); broadcast and other media (including television and radio networks and affiliates, cable television and satellite broadcast services); and satellite communications providers (including communications services, satellite operators and common carriers, manufacturers and distributors of telecommunications equipment and services).

The event is sponsored by PRIMEDIA Intertec's Satellite Communications magazine, with additional support provided by Telephony, Global Telephony, Broadcast Engineering, World Broadcast News, RF Design, Mobile Radio Technology, Wireless Review and Cellular & Mobile International magazines.

Satellite Launch To Boost DTH In India
Calcutta, India (SPX) Dec 28, 2005
