SELEX GALILEO Signs Technology Transfer MOU With King Abdulaziz City
King Abdulaziz City, Saudi Arabia (SPX) Jul 03, 2008 SELEX GALILEO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). This MOU will see the company develop a working relationship for research and development with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Radio Frequency, Radar, Communications, Laser, Electro Optics (EO), and Infrared Technologies. SELEX GALILEO is committed to developing high tech partnerships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will continue to work with Saudi companies in the areas of industrial participation and technology transfer. KACST is an independent scientific organisation of the Saudi Arabian Government, established in 1977 under the name of Saudi Arabian National Center for Science and Technology (SANCST) and later in 1985 renamed as 'King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST)'. SELEX GALILEO design, develop, and produce leading airborne radio frequency and EO sensor solutions for fast jet and transport aircraft, helicopters and Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs). With a strong commitment to innovation and technical excellence, the company plays a leading role in major international airborne military programmes such as the EH101 and Merlin military helicopters, the NH90, the Super Lynx, the future JSF and the Eurofighter Typhoon. SELEX GALILEO products are in service with a significant number of armed forces worldwide including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UK, US, Canada and Greece.
