Rockwell Collins Introduces Tailwind 300 Satellite Television
Cedar Rapids IO, (SPX) Aug 15, 2006 Rockwell Collins has unveiled Tailwind 300, its latest satellite television offering for business jets. The Tailwind 300 is ideal for the super mid-size and larger aircraft operating within the contiguous United States. First delivery of the system is expected by mid-2007. "Tailwind 300 delivers crystal clear reception at the lowest cost available today," said Denny Helgeson, vice president and general manager, Business and Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Tailwind 300 also provides the added benefit of being the lightest weight, smallest package by volume on the market." Tailwind 300 features CNN, Fox, Bloomberg, ESPN, The Weather Channel, A and E, Discovery, local networks, independent programming, pay-per-view movies, sports subscriptions and a host of other channels. Rockwell Collins provides a turnkey service for content acquisition, and includes the first year subscription of the DIRECTV Basic Package free of charge.
