Resupply spacecraft docks with International Space Station

 Moscow (AFP) Sept 17, 2008
 The Russian unmanned resupply spacecraft Progress M-65 docked with the International Space Station on Wednesday, four days late due to Hurricane Ike, the Interfax news agency reported.

The three astronauts inside the space station will open the hatch of the expendable 2.5 tonne spacecraft -- which carries fuel, food, oxygen and other supplies -- on Thursday after its successful automatic docking.

Progress M-65 was supposed to dock on Saturday, but the date was put back after Hurricane Ike forced the evacuation of staff from the NASA space station in Houston, Texas, from where it is controlled.

Hurricane Ike's impact felt at International Space Station: NASA
 Washington (AFP) Sept 12, 2008
 Officials Friday delayed the arrival of a cargo ship at the International Space Station, after NASA shut down its space center in Houston as Hurricane Ike barreled down on Texas, the US space agency said.
