San Diego CA (SPX) Aug 03, 2004 Quake Global is announcing the delivery of its new Q1200-SG satellite communicators to Caterpillar. These satellite communicators are one component of a technology attachment used on multiple Cat construction and mining machines, which provide essential machine data. Quake has been working for more than a year to address the communication challenges in transmitting data from machines, oftentimes working in rough terrain at a remote sites, such as a mine site. This rugged, compact satellite communicator meets the specific criteria identified for these applications. "The applications require technology products to be extremely durable and reliable.
