Quake Global Delivers New Satellite Communicators

Utilizing the ORBCOMM network of low earth satellites, Quake Global users receive near real time notification of vehicle location and other onboard information and parameters via email.

Quake Global is announcing the delivery of its new Q1200-SG satellite communicators to Caterpillar. These satellite communicators are one component of a technology attachment used on multiple Cat construction and mining machines, which provide essential machine data.

Quake has been working for more than a year to address the communication challenges in transmitting data from machines, oftentimes working in rough terrain at a remote sites, such as a mine site. This rugged, compact satellite communicator meets the specific criteria identified for these applications.

Stratos Steps Closer To Xantic Acquisition

Stratos Global recently announced it had taken a step closer toward the completion of the acquisition of Xantic, having received positive advice from the Works' Council in the Netherlands, and executed a definitive agreement to purchase Xantic from KPN and Telstra Corporation.
