Pyramid Vision Debuts Integrated Security Sensor Visualization

Pyramid Vision, the performance leader in intelligent video surveillance, announced that it would debut Hawk, an integrated and scaleable security sensor management platform at the 2004 International Security Conference this week in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hawk takes medium-to-large-scale security surveillance to the next level by creating a unified, multi-dimensional view of multiple alarm sensors and video feeds. It allows multiple users to see a single, consolidated view of an area around which an incident is occurring. By creating an intuitive visual context, Hawk permits the rapid assessment of the type, location, and output of multiple alarms, as well as integrated monitoring for video-equipped facilities.

"Hawk will operate as the electronic sensor management and display component of a larger security and surveillance system, enabling security personnel to increase security through improved situational awareness," said Ron Krakower, vice president of sales for Pyramid Vision.

"Hawk's capabilities are derived from technology developed for the U.S. military for seamless visualization of wide operational areas and small site details, as well as the status of large numbers of remote sensors."

Hawk can be combined with other Pyramid Vision products, including VisionAlert and Video Flashlight, to support a breadth of security requirements.

The addition of VisionAlert introduces video surveillance alarm functions to the sensor management platform. For more robust requirements, Hawk can combine with Video Flashlight to create a three- dimensional visual context that seamlessly merges live video streams from security cameras with a 3-D model of the monitored facility.

"In our demonstration at ISC West, we show how a 'security breach' causing an alarm in VisionAlert will trigger Hawk to notify security personnel and permit them to view the incident in geo-spatial context," Krakower said.
