Northrop Grumman Joins The Cyberspace Innovation Center
Bossier City LA (SPX) Jan 23, 2008 Northrop Grumman announced its platinum membership with the Cyberspace Innovation Center to help shape future technology innovations in cyberspace. The mission of the Center is to support cyber initiatives by promoting research, educational and technological innovation, and fostering collaborative and strategic alliances between governmental agencies, private industry and academic institutions. "Northrop Grumman will bring advanced expertise in the cyberspace domain to support the goals of the Cyberspace Innovation Center," said Catherine Kuenzel, vice president of enterprise infrastructure services and solutions for Northrop Grumman's Information Technology sector. "This partnership will help strengthen the security of the U.S. government in cyberspace and protect the nation's critical infrastructures." As a member, Northrop Grumman joins a community that helps protect the nation's interest in all cyber-related domains; assists government agencies in obtaining dominance in cyberspace; and stimulates innovation-based economic growth through strategic partnerships. TacSat-2's Milestone Mission Advanced Responsive Space Concept
Kirtland ASFB NM (SPX) Jan 22, 2008After completing its historic, one year experimental mission, the U.S. Air Force's TacSat-2 microsatellite ceased operations on Dec. 21, 2007. Launched on Dec. 16, 2006, from NASA's Wallops Island Flight Facility, Wallops Island, Va., the responsive space Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration, administered by the Air Force Research Laboratory's Space Vehicles Directorate here, served as the forerunner for speedy satellite production, launch, and operation. |
