Redondo Beach CA (SPX) Sep 22, 2004 Northrop Grumman has begun testing its Advanced EHF Nulling Antenna for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (EHF) military satellite communications system. The antenna is the first to be tested at a new compact test range built by Northrop Grumman Space Technology, headquartered in Redondo Beach, Calif. Nulling antennas are designed to defeat enemy jammers, thereby preventing service interruption to military users. Northrop Grumman's Space Technology sector will deliver two Advanced EHF payloads to the system prime contractor, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Sunnyvale, Calif. The MILSATCOM Joint Program Office, located at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contract manager and lead agency for the Advanced EHF program.
