Kiev (Interfax) Nov. 1, 2000 The sixth launch of the Ukrainian- Russian Zenit-3SL booster-rocket from the Sea Launch floating cosmodrome is scheduled for December, spokesman for the Yuzhnoye design office Yuri Alekseyenko has told Interfax. He said experts from Yuzhnoye and related companies have started analyzing the telemetric measurements of the latest, fifth, launch under the Sea Launch program. "The measuring system records some 700 parameters that are transmitted to the ground, and after we receive the launch data, experts will analyze it," he said. Alekseyenko said that simultaneously a team of experts in the United States is beginning to prepare the next rocket launch to place another telecommunication satellite manufactured by the Hughes corporation into orbit.
