Moffett Field CA - Jun 03, 2004 NASA Ames Research Center will award a contract valued at more than $48 million to Jacobs Sverdrup of Tullahoma, Tennessee. The cost-plus-incentive-fee/award fee, performance-based contract will provide a wide range of support services for aerospace testing and facilities maintenance and operations at NASA Ames. Facilities serviced by this contract will include the thermophysics testing complex, wind tunnels and other aerospace testing complexes. Under the terms of this contract, Jacobs Sverdrup will provide testing services for major NASA programs including the Space Shuttle Return to Flight, X-37, Mars Space Lander, Crew Exploration Vehicle, and other Space Science initiatives. The facilities operated under this contract also support a wide variety of testing requirements for other government agencies including the Departments of Defense, Energy and Homeland Security. These facilities also provide significant testing services to meet the needs of industry and other non-government entities. The five-year contract will have a period of performance of two years (base period) and will include a one-year and a two-year option.
