Preparations for the launch of an Israeli micro satellite are nearly complete at Svobodny space center in Amur region.

About one hundred Israeli specialists are helping in the preparations to launch the first EROS satellite, Major General Alexander Venidiktov, head of the Svobodny space center, told Interfax.

The satellite will arrive at the launch site from Israel in the next few days.

The satellite will be launched by a Start-1 after testing is completed within a month.

Venidiktov said that the space center has an agreement to launch seven EROS satellites next year.
