The ARGO Tracker system incorporates client-driven custom configurations using GPS, other sensor capabilities and Web-based user interfaces. The system offers complete asset visibility throughout all phases of the supply chain from origin to destination, Iridium said in a statement.

"The Iridium-enhanced ARGO Tracker will permit companies to achieve rapid return on investment by reducing customer churn, decreasing operating expenses, improving margins and security, while concurrently fulfilling new and proposed regulatory mandates," said Mike Hammons, ARGO Tracker's chief executive officer.

Iridium provides satellite voice and data services covering the entire surface of the planet, including oceans, airways and the poles. The Iridium constellation consists of 66 low-Earth orbiting, cross-linked satellites, with multiple in-orbit spares - the largest commercial satellite array in the world.
