Intuitive Machines, Inc. (Nasdaq: LUNR, LUNRW), a leader in space exploration, infrastructure, and services, has expanded its collaboration with NASA by securing additional contracts from the Near Space Network (NSN) to provide Direct-to-Earth (DTE) services. These agreements underscore the company's integral role in advancing NASA's lunar and deep space missions.

DTE communication and navigation services play a critical role in facilitating missions beyond Earth's orbit, enabling precise navigation and robust data transmission capabilities for lunar and deep space operations. The newly awarded contracts include:

+ Subcategory 1.2: DTE Geostationary (GEO) to Cislunar DTE Services, enhancing autonomous operations and improving data transfer capabilities.

+ Subcategory 1.3: xCislunar DTE Services, tailored for missions requiring data support in highly elliptical orbits and beyond.

These firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts aim to strengthen NASA's Lunar Exploration Ground Segment by reducing pressure on the Deep Space Network and accommodating specific mission demands.

In September, Intuitive Machines received another significant NSN contract under Subcategory 2.2 to deploy and manage a constellation of lunar data relay satellites.

"We are privileged to help NASA deliver essential data and transmission services that support missions navigating the critical pathways between Earth, the Moon, and beyond," said Intuitive Machines CEO Steve Altemus. "These new awards complement our existing NSN contract and expand our capabilities in space communications and navigation. They also position us to maximize the $4.82 billion potential value of the NSN contract, furthering NASA's Artemis program and fostering growth in the lunar economy."

The company has successfully demonstrated its DTE lunar data transmission capabilities, leveraging global partnerships and strategically located radio astronomy facilities to transmit data from various mission-critical locations, including Earth's orbit, lunar orbit, and the Moon's surface.

The contracts cover project timelines from February 2025 to September 2029, with a potential extension through September 2034 under an optional five-year period.
