Paris - Sept. 18, 2001 Hytek Microsystems, Inc. has received a subcontract to build remote sensing telemetry components. The value of the initial order is approximately $1.4 million. The Hytek built components will be used by an undisclosed customer and the United States military to perform remote data gathering operations. "This initial contract provides Hytek the opportunity to become an exclusive manufacturer of the telemetry components used in these operations. These telemetry components are more effective and less costly than others currently utilized in similar military systems," said Jon Presnell, Hytek's President and COO. Founded in 1974, Hytek, headquartered in Carson City, Nevada, specializes in hybrid microelectronic circuits that are used in oil exploration, military applications, satellite systems, industrial electronics, opto-electronics and other OEM applications.
