Hall of fame inducts NASA technologies
Washington, April 10, 2008 The U.S. space agency says three technologies it developed have been inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame. The induction was announced Thursday in Colorado Springs during a ceremony at the National Space Symposium. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said the products to be recognized as originating from space technology are a medical diagnostic software tool that measures the thickness of arteries, a non-invasive medical device that improves blood flow to the heart and brain, and a technology that safely removes petroleum-based pollutants from water or soil.
