Globecomm Systems Awarded Multi-Year Chinese Ethnic Broadcasting Contract

Demand for Satellite TV begins at home.

Globecomm Systems has been awarded a multi-year Chinese ethnic broadcasting service contract valued at approximately $3.4 million from Atlanta DTH, Inc. (ADTH).

Under the terms of the contract, Globecomm will provide broadcast services to ADTH for the distribution of seven Chinese ethnic broadcasting channels into Europe and South Africa, utilizing Globecomm's recently launched direct-to-home video distribution platform on the Telstar 12 satellite.

Mike Day, Chief Executive Officer of ADTH said, "After extensive review, Globecomm's ethnic broadcasting video platform provided us with a best of breed technology platform enabling our business model. Demand for ethnic content continues to surge and we look forward to expanding our business relationship with Globecomm to satisfy this demand."

Ken Miller, President of Globecomm Systems said, "Since the June 1, 2004 launch, we have received contracts to distribute nineteen channels on our new direct-to-home video distribution platform. These seven channels are an exciting new addition to the platform, which diversifies the Company into Chinese content distribution."

Stratos Steps Closer To Xantic Acquisition
