Milpitas CA (SPX) Jul 08, 2004 Globalstar announced Wednesday that it will introduce lower simplex data airtime pricing that can be used with "mobile" based Globalstar approved, simplex modem product solutions. This pricing is to take effect on July 15, 2004. With this new pricing, Globalstar is paving the way to provide a low cost, satellite based, simplex data solution for those industries such as the maritime shipping and trucking industries, that demand the ability to remotely track assets such as tractor trailers and shipping containers. Using the Globalstar Satellite network and an approved integrated simplex modem solution, companies will be able to economically monitor their assets from virtually anywhere in North America.
