Milpitas CA (SPX) Jul 09, 2004 Globalstar announced Thursday that it will introduce a new satellite airtime rate plan designed for the company's US customers. The new Timeline 40 price plan is designed to meet the growing demands of the satellite telephone market and will replace Globalstar's existing low cost Timeline 30 rate plan. "After consulting with our customers and distributors, it was clear that we should offer a more comprehensive basic package designed to meet the growing airtime demands of the satellite marketplace," said Dennis Allen, Senior VP of Sales for Globalstar LLC. The original Timeline 30 rate plan previously included 30 minutes of airtime. For just $5.00 more per month, the new plan will provide customers with 40 minutes of bundled airtime, an increase of more than 33%.
