Farnborough, UK (SPX) Jul 18, 2006 The Elisra Group will introduce its new ALQ-903 Escort Jammer System at this year's Farnborough Air Show 2006 in the UK. The system allows penetration of complex layers of air defences, increasing the survivability of attacking forces. Based on Elisra's technological capabilities and expertise - accumulated during years of operational experience in the RWR/ESM and ECM fields - the fully digital ALQ-903 Escort Jammer System utilizes advanced technology that enables automatic radar detection, identification and jamming. Designed as a payload, the Escort Jammer can be used with most fighter aircraft. Installed on a single plane within each group, the system detects ground radar, jamming their radar equipment and prevent the detection of circling aircraft. The system includes phase array solid state power amplifiers, and operates in autonomous or controlled modes. According to Itschak Gat, CEO of the Elisra Group, "As recognized experts in Electronic Warfare, we leverage our expertise and capabilities in EW in the creation of cutting-edge solutions for the protection of airborne applications. Elisra has taken a major step forward with the introduction of the Escort Jammer System, which is among the best in the field."
