Melville NY (SPX) Aug 19, 2005 Comtech Telecommunications has announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom, has received an order totaling $4.7 million on its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the U. S. Army. This order is for the purchase of Comtech's next generation mobile satellite transceiver, which features embedded RFID and secure GPS capabilities, along with ruggedized computers and control stations. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million contract increased to $195.5 million. Fred Kornberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications, said, "We are pleased with the continuing demand from the U. S. Army for our MTS products, and we remain very excited about the deployment of our next generation transceiver. This new transceiver exemplifies our commitment to work closely with our customers to deliver targeted solutions addressing their needs."
