Melville NY (SPX) Aug 15, 2005 Comtech Telecommunications announced last Thursday that its Melville, New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST received $2.7 million of orders for high power amplifiers from a leading OEM in aviation electronics and communication systems. These amplifiers are utilized as part of satellite communications systems which provide mobile airborne to satellite to ground communications service. The terminal provides operators with the ability to access Inmarsat's Aero-H and Aero-I service for aeronautical satellite communications with multi-channel voice, fax and data capabilities. These orders supplement a significant installed base of over 2,000 Comtech high power amplifiers previously delivered to this customer. Delivery of these amplifiers will begin in November 2005 and continue through November 2006. Fred Kornberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications, said "These orders reaffirm Comtech's product performance, quality and reliability, as well as the continuation of our relationship with this premier supplier of satellite communications systems."
