Jacksonville FL (SPX) May 18, 2006 Armor Holdings has announced today the receipt of an order valued at $31.5 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command for additional production of M1114 Up-Armored HMMWV vehicles to support the Iraqi Army. "Work will be performed during 2006 by the Armor Holdings Aerospace and Defense Group at its Fairfield, Ohio facilities. Robert Schiller, President of Armor Holdings, Inc., said, "We are proud of our continued work supporting the U.S. Army, which is provisioning Up-armored HMMWVs to the coalition force. "As a result of supplemental funding currently under consideration by the U.S. Congress, we anticipate additional backlog for 2006 and 2007 from orders which we expect to be forthcoming in support of the Army's Up-Armored HMMWV program."
