Arabsat 4A Delivered To Baikonur

The Proton-M launch vehicle to launch the Arabsat 4A communications satellite was delivered to Baikonur on Tuesday night. The same day in the morning an An-124 (Ruslan) airplane, with the Arabsat 4A aboard, landed at the Yubileiny airport, in Baikonur.

The launch vehicle and the satellite will be transported to AITB where specialists will start their preparations for launch.

The (window) launch of the Proton-M, with a Breeze-M upper stage, and ArabSat 4A, is scheduled for the night of February 28, through to March 1, 2006.

Japan H2 Heavy Lofts Disaster Monitoring Satellite

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency on Monday postponed until Tuesday the first launch in a year of its key H-2A rocket, which will carry a satellite to monitor disasters, due to a technical error.
