Fighters are seen in the Sadr neighborhood of the city of Samawa, 270 kms south of Baghdad 08 August 2005. Armed men took to the streets the day after two people were killed and 45 others were wounded in a protest yesterday in which as some 1,000 people marched to the office of the governor of Muthanna province, of which Samawa is the capital, protesting corruption and demanding jobs and reliable electricity and water supply. The building's guards fired in the air when some of the protesters tried to storm the building, the defense ministry said, and the riots broke out. AFP PHOTO/ESSAM AL-SUDANI
