New Delhi, Aug 5, 2006 A moderate earthquake shook northern India and neighbouring Nepal on Saturday but there were no immediate reports of damage, the India Meteorological Department said. The earthquake, which struck at 13:05 (0735 GMT), measured 5.0 on the Richter scale and was "of moderate intensity," an official said. The epicentre was in the northern hill state of Uttaranchal.
