Did Europe erupt into panic over the volcanic cloud threat? With flights restrictions set to be eased Tuesday, airlines and the media were asking if officials had over-reacted much as they appeared to have done with the swine flu outbreak. Mining giant Rio Tinto Tuesday postponed this month's Melbourne annual general meeting after top bosses were stranded in London by the ash cloud which has paralysed air travel. Chinese President Hu Jintao called on rescuers Sunday to keep searching for survivors as he visited victims of a powerful quake in the country's northwest that left more than 1,700 dead.
