Israeli warplanes make raid near Lebanese army post; no victims Beirut (AFP) Jul 27, 2006 Israeli warplanes carried out a raid early Thursday near a Lebanese army base in the Amchit region 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of Beirut without causing any casualties, a Lebanese military source told AFP. Israeli rockets caused a fire at a radio communications centre, the source said. Since the start of the Israeli offensive on July 12, a total of 28 Lebanese troops and gendarmes have been killed and 81 wounded in Israeli air raids.
