UAE's Masdar to build $125-million wind farm in Oman

Abu Dhabi energy company Masdar said Wednesday it will build a 50-megawatt wind farm in neighbouring Oman that will provide 16,000 homes with clean energy. The $125-million project, the first large-scale wind farm in the six nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council, would be constructed in the southwestern region of Dhofar, Masdar said in a statement.
